Congratulations to Sarah Frecska who has been recognized in the inaugural Notable Women in Engineering list!
Sarah is an extremely valuable asset to the engineering and greater Milwaukee communities. Sarah is an innovative thinker who recently served as the structural engineer on Milwaukee’s first cross-laminated timber (CLT) building, Timber Lofts, which was completed in 2020. Her thoughtful designs and influential leadership have helped to develop the competencies of our team and push Pierce Engineers to new levels in Milwaukee and beyond.
She is also active within the local education community, serving as a Senior Design Project Juror at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and providing structural advising for the IP-BIM Studio for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. She is an active member of the Architectural Drafting/Construction Technology Advisory Committee at Waukesha County Technical College and has also had various leadership roles for the Structural Engineers Association of Wisconsin. Sarah is passionate about developing a quality curriculum that evolves with the engineering field.
