
Cold-Formed metal Framing
Cold-Formed Metal Framing (CFMF) is widely used in the construction industry for a variety of applications, ranging from structural load-bearing walls in multi-story structures to exterior infill framing for building cladding materials.
CFMF is a non-combustible material with an incredibly high strength to weight ratio, making it an excellent option for both load bearing framing and exterior infill cladding framing.
Multi-level load bearing framing

CFMF is a cost-efficient solution for many multi-level load bearing structures. Mid-rise building ranging from 5-12 stories above a podium or grade are ideal. Structure less than 5 stories are better suited for wood design and structures over 12 stories are more efficient using full concrete designs.
To ensure the most efficient design, all bearing walls above the podium should stack vertically, reducing any need for transfer beams.

CFMF is also used in many applications as backup framing and soffits for exterior cladding material. The studs are designed to rest the lateral wind loads, and to limit the deflection to resist damage to finishes such as brick or metal panel framing.
The opportunity also exists to create unique architectural features utilizing the stud framing.
