The Kimpton Hotel is a 158 room, nine-story luxury boutique hotel located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The hotel offers banquet facilities, dining, fitness center, and has a roof-top lounge with structural steel pergolas, fire pits, and significant landscaping. This new building is constructed with post-tensioned slabs and a structural slab on grade, supported on steel piles. The use of post-tensioned slabs allowed for lower floor to floor heights, fitting nine stories adjacent to existing six-story buildings. The building was constructed on a tight, urban site, surrounded by historic buildings.
