17,000 square-foot steel-framed climbing gymnasium with roof joists spanning 80 ft on top of a steel braced frame structure, creating an open climbing area with 43 feet clear height. Entire structure bears on top of precast concrete framed lower level parking. A 3,000 square feet mezzanine is provided on the west face to support bouldering areas. The building is clad in weathering steel, glass and metal panel. Significant wall framing coordination was required with the rock wall designer/fabricator for support of the rock wall loading.
