The Saddlery is an exciting re-imagination of a building that was originally built by the Madison Saddlery Company in 1907 for the manufacture and sale of horse saddles. PE assisted in breathing new life into the four-story timber frame project by structuring new vertical circulation elements, and assessing the weight of new flooring and finishes, adding new mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and architectural openings in existing bearing walls, and adding a new rooftop amenity deck. The result is a stunning new hotel that offers both long- and short-term stays accompanied by breathtaking views of Lake Monona.
