The 57,000 square-foot recreation center building provides space for up to 3 high-school basketball courts or 6 volleyball courts. The structure consists of a combination of load-bearing precast wall panels and structural steel framing. Surrounding the court area is a mezzanine and a running track that is partially hung from the 110 ft long-span steel roof joists above. Structural steel framing accommodates the curved corner glass articulation at the northwest and southwest corners, as well as extensive canopies and sunshade framing.
