Madison Yards
The Madison Yards Development began with the construction of a new State of Wisconsin Office Building on the northwest corner of the site to bring several state departments under one roof. Completed in 2018, the Z-shaped nine-story steel-framed building provides more than 600,000 square feet of office and support space. On the northeast corner of the site is a 15-story post-tensioned concrete apartment building providing 270 dwelling units. Adjacent to the apartment building is a parking structure that is shared with a new 50,000 square-foot steel-framed Whole Foods grocery store. On the southeast corner of the site is a seven-story office building framed of structural steel, with a lateral framing system consisting of SidePlate connections to provide open, uninterrupted floor space. The office building is connected to an adjacent five-story precast parking structure with a steel-framed pedestrian bridge at the 4th floor level.
