Embassy Suites

Completed in 2021, the Embassy Suites by Hilton sits on the west side of the Rock River. The adaptive re-use of the building originally built as the Ziock Building in 1915 takes advantage of the reinforced concrete skeleton frame and the large windows to provide ample daylight and significant views to hotel guests. The 12-story, 250,000 square feet renovation of the former textile manufacturer, and later cabinet equipment manufacturer, was accompanied by a 37,000 square feet two-story conference center addition to the north of the historic building. The new hotel and conference center have revitalized the west side of the Rock River in Rockford and are serving as a catalyst for the redevelopment of the downtown Rockford area.
