Three story, 72,000 sf medical office building with a small adjacent single story area. Floor construction consists of concrete with non-composite steel deck, and open web steel joists supported by wide-flange beams and columns. First floor slab on grade included trenches and recessed areas to meet gravity support and electrical and magnetic shielding requirements for large pieces of medical equipment. The third floor includes two 5” recessed slab areas to accommodate recessed floors for sound booths. Moment frames were utilized to provide lateral stability to the structure. The exterior cladding consists of brick and stone veneer with steel stud back up and extensive use of ribbon windows. LEED Silver certification was targeted.
